Tour Choices

Our Experienced Tour Guide will provide fascinating facts, history, geology, great places for pictures and, most of all, fun and entertainment - all meant to enlighten.  Guide will be dressed in character of the area upon request.

Farmers Fugitives & Felons: Travel the Historic Route 2 of the Underground Railroad: Southern Michigan to the coast of Northeastern Ohio. Stops are picture worthy. We will follow the route almost to the place where the term "Underground Railroad" was coined. An actual intact, silk Civil War flag will be on display. Several historic homes that housed fugitives will be available for our view, as well as monuments.  There will be opportunities to purchase further info about the Underground Railroad. Unique lunch stop will be provided. There will be other step on guides to further explain the conductors of the era. You'll see history and a fun and entertaining way. This is a great way to experience the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. 

Barons, Boats & Beautiful Buildings Tour: Historic eastside neighborhoods will be toured, houses on Lakeshore Drive will entertain with some of Detroit's most unique attractions, and Belle Isle will astound with her natural beauty. Lunch will be a tour & meal of a unique Detroit location.

Blue Nuns Go Green: The Immaculate Heart of Mary Community began in the frontier settlement of Monroe, MI in 1845. This 2-hour tour of the Motherhouse and grounds will inform and astound.  These Sisters are 100% sustainable. Lots to see and do.  

Polish Pierogies and Polkas: Learn about the wonderful culture of the Polish. Visit historical churches, neighborhoods, and venues that have kept the Polish culture in Michigan alive.  Tour includes: Polish lunch platter, polka lesson, visit Polish churches, shop at the Polish market, American Polish Cultural Center and much more.

Hungary, Happiness & Halleluiahs: Learn about the wonderful culture of  Hungary. Visit historical churches, neighborhoods, and venues that have kept the Hungarian tradition alive in Michigan and Ohio. Tour includes: Hungarian lunch, art, Hungarian/ American Culture Center and more.

Famous "has been" writers and reporters will crop up in cubbyhole doorways. There may be a test. News haunts revisited.  Only in Detroit and southeastern Michigan.  Brenda Starr will make an appearance.

Michigan Group Bus ToursArt in the Strangest Places: This tour of famous art features a little known public building containing $4 million dollars worth of art that people pass by without knowing, fountains, murals, outdoor and indoor sculptures, in places that one would normally bypass.  You will see a city block art project, unusual museums and building art pieces. Traditional museums are not part of featured stops. Art includes all genres. Additional guides are part of this experience. Studio tour. There will be one meal stop in a heavily "arted" restaurant and an on-your-own unusual coffee break stop.

Journey to Faith, Hope & Healing: Tour the beautiful and historic Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Tour features a prayer service, including a mass for pigrims in the upper basilica, stations of the cross, Rosary and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The tour also includes a stop at The Docks, Toledo's popular dining district and the Libbey Glass Outlet in Findlay, Ohio.  This tour will occur every year on August 15. This is an ideal tour for Catholics of all ages.

Dominican Mother House in Adrian: As we pull up to the Mother House, a Sister will step on our bus and explain the property.  We will have a complete tour of all of the buildings.  Lunch will be on the premises.  In addition, we will tour a second convent, this one is cloistered. Very informative.
